Performances
End of Year Show
We always run a show at the end of the academic year. All students are invited to take part in this. All dancing, acting and singing that goes in to the show is set gradually throughout the 3rd term and the pieces are polished further at extra rehearsals called together on a few Sundays before the show date. This gives the children the opportunity to dance with their friends on stage, with appropriate costumes provided and their hair and make up arranged for its needs.
Dance For Sure has all costumes made to measure each individual childs size by our own in house seamstress, offered at a greatly reduced retail price.
Festivals
Children are specifically chosen to take part in competitions. This gives them a chance to compete around the country against other dance schools. It can be a great confidence booster and gives students the opportunity to let go and enjoy performing on stage with the possiblity of being rewarded for it. All participants receive a certificate and a crit sheet and have the opportunity to receive a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place and be given a gold, silver or bronze medal.
Workshops and Masterclasses
We run regular holiday workshops. Generally one at Easter and one in the Summer.
These producrtions help parents who struggle with child care during holiday times. They are great value and good fun. The courses run for 5 days each time from 10-4pm and generally the doors are open by 9 for parents who are dashing off to work. There is always a performance on the 5th day which lasts between 30-60 minutes.
OTHER PERFORMANCES
Dance For Sure often takes part in events and performances that we are invited to throughout the year! Some being with drama groups and some being at fundraising events summer fayres and more!
